COVID-19 Policy

At HealthLinks Gippsland we ask that you please consider the ongoing safety of our staff and other patients, should you show symptoms of, or test positive for COVID-19.
We strongly recommend that patients:
  • who test positive for COVID-19, stay home and isolate for five days
  • that are still symptomatic after five days,  please not attend our clinics and call to reschedule your appointment
  • who are symptomatic, but are not testing positive for COVID-19, please call to reschedule your appointment
  • advise family & friends of the COVID-19 positive test result

Face Masks

As per our clinic policy, it is no longer compulsory for patients or practitioners to wear face masks when attending our clinics. Those patients who wish to continue wearing a face mask, or have their practitioner wear one while in the treatment room setting, will be supported to do so.

The Department of Health recommends that face masks be worn by a person who has tested positive for COVID-19, for 7 days whenever  leaving home, are indoors or are unable to maintain physical distance.

If you are a close contact of someone who has recently tested positive for COVID-19, the Department of Health recommends that masks be worn when leaving home.

Reporting Positive COVID-19 Test Results

The Department of Health recommends that a person who tests positive for COVID-19 should inform those with whom they have recently been in contact, including their workplace, schools and household.
