Did You Know? Medicare May Help Cover Your Osteopathy Appointments
If you’re living with a long-term or chronic health condition, you may be eligible for a Chronic Condition Management (CCM) Plan through your GP.
A CCM Plan is designed to help people with ongoing health conditions access the care and support they need from a range of healthcare professionals.
If you are eligible, a CCM Plan can provide access to up to five Medicare-rebated allied health appointments each calendar year, which may include osteopathy.
How to access a CCM Plan:
- Speak with your GP to discuss whether you’re eligible.*
- If appropriate, your GP can provide a referral under a CCM Plan.
- Book an appointment with one of our experienced osteopaths and bring your referral along.
The number of appointments available and the amount of Medicare rebate will depend on your individual circumstances and the current Medicare guidelines.
If you’re unsure whether you qualify or have questions about Medicare referrals, our friendly reception team is happy to help.
If you have a chronic or ongoing health condition and would like to find out whether osteopathy could form part of your care, speak with your GP about whether a CCM Plan may be appropriate for you.
*Eligibility for a Chronic Condition Management Plan is determined by your GP under Medicare guidelines.
